Find people with similar interests, ask for help when you get stuck and get feedback on what you’re making.
Once a year
Society hackathon
We’re planning a 24-hour hackathon in Oxford. Form a team, try out an idea and show what you’ve made to other students and invited judges.
Year-end · Selected teams
Project showcase
For the year-end showcase, teams will submit a short pitch showing their progress. Selected teams will present to other students, partners and invited guests.

What would the workshops involve?
The plan is to help you go from trying the tools to making a small project of your own.
- 01 / Learn
Learn the basics
Across the six planned sessions, we’ll cover AI tools, GitHub and ways to test what you’ve made.
- 02 / Build
Try your own project
Choose a small idea, make a first version and try it out. Ask other students for help and feedback along the way.
- 03 / Show
Show it to the group
At the end, everyone will show their project, talk about what worked and explain what they’d change.
The year-end showcase is separate from the workshops. Teams will apply with a short pitch, and selected projects will present. We’re still working out the dates and format.
